The LRH Board Assurance on Compliance e-System (BACeS) is a
software tool to assist health care facilities to report on compliance with
State and Commonwealth regulations.
One of its key features is the integrated Compliance Manual
which is updated regularly by Latrobe Regional Hospitals Corporate Counsel
with access on-line through TimeBase (Law One) Pty Ltd to actual and
developing legislation as well as other relevant web based data including
Standards On-line.
The system can also be integrated with the Latrobe Regional Hospital developed Policies and Protocols system or your hospital’s own
on-line policies and protocols.
The BACeS system is now being used at over 50 sites to
assist in the day to day management of compliance obligations.

Policies and Protocols
Latrobe Regional Hospital’s Policies and Protocols system
is an online intranet-based system that presents an organisation’s current
policies and protocols in a set template format.
One of the major features of the system is the share
module, which allows you to share the policies and protocols developed by
your organisation and to import policies and protocols to then review, that
other organisations also using the Policies and Protocols system have
developed and shared.
A number of the other features of the system are the
ability for viewers to suggest changes, a link on the homepage to client’s
internet site, keyword and advanced search options, P&P’s overdue for
review report, P&P’s pending review report and the ability to send e-mail
reminders to P&P owners that P&P’s are coming up for review.
