Kellie O’Callaghan – Chair

Ms O’Callaghan draws on extensive knowledge and experience in health and human services in the development and management of community-based organisations. She is focused on applying the principles of community engagement and good governance to benefit communities. Ms O’Callaghan was elected to Latrobe City Council in 2008 and was elected Mayor in 2009. She is committed to ensuring the broader Gippsland community has access to quality health services that are well-resourced and sustainable.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Arts (Social Science), Graduate Diploma Mental Health Science.

LRH committees: Community Advisory and Population Health Committee (Chair) and Appointments Committee (Chair), Finance Committee.

 

 

Mark Biggs – Deputy Chair

Mr Biggs is a psychologist with an extensive management career in the health and human services sector including child protection, disability, occupational rehabilitation and project management. He has expertise in strategic planning, policy, risk assessment and business management.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Arts, Graduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology.

LRH committees: Audit Committee (Chair), Credentialing Committee (Chair), Appointments Committee (Deputy Chair) and Finance Committee.

 

Lorraine Bartling OAM

Mrs Bartling is a former nurse, midwife and social worker and has extensive experience and knowledge of community work. Mrs Bartling is actively involved in many community projects including as chair of Yallambee Traralgon Village for the Aged Inc. She is involved in the Latrobe Safety Committee, a member of Latrobe City International Relations Committee and member of the Gippsland Regional Clinical School community support group and is on the Quantum committee.

Qualifications: Registered nurse, midwife and social worker.

Professor Chris Browne

Professor Browne is the Head of the Gippsland Medical School of Monash University. He is also the inaugural elected president of the Academic Board at Monash University. Professor Browne was responsible for establishing the Faculty of Medicine at Monash University, the College of Medicine at a university in the United Arab Emirates and the Monash Medical School in Malaysia.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Arts, Doctorate of Philosophy (UK).

LRH committees: Quality Committee (Chair), Human Research Ethics Committee (Deputy Chair).

 

 

Susan Lloyd

Ms Lloyd is the chief executive officer of getGP Ltd - Gippsland Education and Training for General Practice. She has experience in public office having served as a Latrobe City councillor from 2005 to 2008. Her work experience includes roles in the private and public sectors specialising in collaboration, community engagement and leadership facilitation.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Applied Science (Physical Education), Graduate Diploma Education (Secondary), Graduate Diploma Organisation Leadership.

Professional Awards: Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

LRH committees: LRH Foundation (Deputy Chair), Executive Performance Committee.

 

 

Jane Oakley

Ms Oakley is the area general manager of Telstra Country Wide South East Victoria and is a graduate of the Australian Rural Leadership Program. She played soccer for the Matildas and represented Australia at the 1995 World Cup. Ms Oakley is passionate about residents of remote and regional areas having adequate access to health and communications technologies.

Professional Awards: Accredited Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) facilitator.

LRH committees: Community Advisory and Population Health Committee (Deputy Chair), Quality Committee.

 

 

Ian Gibson

Mr Gibson holds qualifications in economics, arts, public policy and management. He has extensive experience in strategic planning, local government and governance. Ian is a board member of the West Gippsland Catchment Management Authority and is a sessional member of Planning Panels Victoria.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Economics, Bachelor of Arts, Masters of Public Policy and Management.

LRH committees: Audit Committee, Executive Performance Committee.

 

 

 

Leah Young

Ms Young has experience in business management and governance. She has served on the boards of Gippsland Water and Westernport Water and is currently the business manager at St Paul’s Anglican Grammar School.  Ms Young has experience in local government, finance, corporate planning, capital works development, administration and human resource management.

Qualifications:  Bachelor of Business, Graduate Diploma of Business, Company Directors Course Diploma (FAICD), Chartered Secretaries Australia Certificate in Governance and Administration CSA (Cert).
