Tanjil/Tyers Unit
Tanjil Unit
Latrobe Regional Hospital’s Tanjil Unit is a 30 bed
medical and surgical unit.
The Unit cares for patients with cardiac, respiratory and
general medical conditions and patients recovering from surgery.
Tanjil cares for surgical patients recovering from
vascular, gynaecology, urology, plastics, general or ear, nose and throat
surgery.
The Unit accepts patients on a referral basis from Latrobe Regional Hospital's Emergency Department, other hospitals, general practitioners
and from elective waiting lists.
Tyers Unit
The Tyers Unit provides care to patients with acute medical
illnesses and those requiring overnight oncology or palliative care.
Tyers Unit includes a specialist palliative care unit that
provides a safe and caring environment for the complex needs of patients and
families.
