What does Latrobe Regional Hospital offer physiotherapy staff

·         The physiotherapy department is part of an energetic, client focussed allied health team who is committed to evidence based practice.

·         Staff work in multidisciplinary teams throughout the hospital and a limited service is offered on weekends.

·         Staff participate in a comprehensive mentoring program to ensure effective clinical support from more senior staff.  Junior staff are able to easily access guidance and advice during all clinical rotations.

·         The physiotherapy department encourages professional development and ongoing education through weekly inservices and monthly journal clubs.  All staff are also encouraged to attend external professional development courses and share newly acquired knowledge with the department.

·         Our department has developed strong links with the APA (Australian physiotherapy Association) Gippsland Regional group. Staff are encouraged to attend meetings for professional support and development and for networking with other physiotherapists in the Gippsland area.

·         Students from different universities undertake clinical placements at Latrobe Regional Hospital each year.
