The Latrobe Regional Hospital Emergency Department (ED) is a modern, well-equipped facility staffed by doctors and nurses with specialist training in emergency medicine.

 

To ensure that each person is seen in a timely manner, the ED has a triage process that identifies people in the most urgent need of care.

 

Main functions of the ED are to resuscitate, diagnose and arrange for appropriate ongoing care either via admission to the Hospital or through a follow-up consultation in the community.

 

The Latrobe Regional Hospital ED aims to provide the highest standard of care with an emphasis on reducing waiting times, providing best practice medical care and ensuring client comfort and satisfaction.
