Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC)

 

It is a requirement of the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) that all medical or scientific research conducted on humans must be reviewed and approved by a properly constituted human research ethics committee. All research involving humans should conform to the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research (NHMRC; 2007).
