Improving Care for Older People

Latrobe Regional Hospital aims to improve the level of care for elderly patients through the 'Improving Care for Older People' program.

The program dynamically works towards realigning healthcare approaches for older people by promoting a philosophy of person centred care.

This is achieved through a greater understanding of the complexities of older people's healthcare needs and provide strong integration within and between health services.

Assisting elderly patients in their transition back to their community or into continuing care is also a major focus of the Program.
