Secure Extended Care Unit (SECU)

Latrobe Regional Hospital's Secure Extended Care Unit (SECU) is a six bed secure environment located in the Flynn Unit.

SECU offers specialised and innovative assessment, management and psychosocial rehabilitation for clients aged 16-65 years with a severe and prolonged mental illness.

SECU aims to provide a safe and caring environment for patients who have behavioural disturbances that poses a risk to themselves and others and who can’t be managed effectively by any of the available alternative services.
