Services available to Latrobe Regional Hospital staff

 

Latrobe Regional Hospital offers a range of services to support and assist staff during their employment.

 

Employee Assistance Program

A free, confidential professional counseling service to assist staff members to deal with work and life issues.

The Program can be used by Latrobe Regional Hospital staff members to assist them in resolving marital and relationship problems; work performance

issues; alcohol, drug or gambling issues; child and family concerns; personal career direction; stress and pressure; financial and legal problems;

anxiety and depression; conflict at work; and, personal trauma and grief.

 

Peer Support Program

Provides prompt one-on-one contact when required by the staff member and all peer support exchanges are strictly confidential.

 

Uniforms

The Hospital also supplies staff uniforms and identification, which are required to be worn by all staff members.

 

Social Club

The active club organizes events, outings and subsidized activities. Membership is voluntary and provides an opportunity for staff members to get to know eachother.

 

Staff Development Unit

Delivers continuing professional development for all staff and promotes best practice. The Unit’s specialist staff develop education programs, facilitate programs conducted by external organisations and promote internal and external professional development opportunities. The Unit also administers traineeships for clinical and non-clinical staff.

 

Employee Services Unit

Staff in Latrobe Regional Hospital’s Employee Services Unit are available for advice and assistance.
