Sweet support from Traralgon business
Latrobe Regional Hospital’s new mother and baby unit has received a much needed boost from a generous Traralgon business.
Sweet Lullabies store owners Andrew and Sarah Pepper have donated more than $12,000 in furniture, baby items and play equipment to get the new five-bed unit up and running.
Andrew, his two young daughters and employee Bec Gardiner visited the unit recently to help assemble the items.
The residential program at the mother and baby unit offers Gippsland women emotional and practical support to connect with their newborn babies. It aims to address issues such as post natal depression.
Construction of the unit was completed in October and the task of furnishing the family-friendly facility is underway.
